The trainers
Alison Danks has considerable direct experience of working with refugees in London and overseas. Until December 2004 she was Specialist Nurse Practitioner for Refugees and Homeless People in Hammersmith. From a health visiting background, she has worked as a health trainer and programme manager in Nigeria and Sierra Leone. She has an MSc in Health Promotion from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.



Rachel Manolson has both provided and managed health services for refugees and asylum seekers. She was formerly Health Improvement Manager for refugees and asylum seekers in Hammersmith. She has worked as a health visitor, community health trainer and project manager in UK, India, Tanzania and The Gambia. She has an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
